Date and Time

The Women’s March ATX - Rally at Texas Capitol will be on Saturday, January 18, 2020.  We will gather on the south steps at the Capitol Building for a rally 12:00pm - 3:00pm.

Transportation

There are many parking lots nearby the Capitol Complex.  These lots typically charge a parking fee, so please be sure to bring money.  For all the details about directions, parking, buses and Accessible parking, click the button below.

Where can I buy food/ water/ clothing?

A hydration stations will be located on the Capitol grounds.  No sales of any kind (including food) is allowed, so pack some snacks and a water bottle.  Many local restaurants can be found on Congress between 10th and 8th Streets for food.  T-shirts can't be sold the day of, so get your official commemorativeT-shirt now by clicking on the link.  Official merchandise sales go to offset the cost of the rally.  Thank you for your support!

Where are the bathrooms?

Public restrooms are inside the Capitol, which may be entered from the West, East, and North sides.  We will also have porta potties set up at two locations:  12th/Brazos near north gates will have standard porta potties, 12th/Colorado will have wheel chair accessible potties. No public restrooms exist on Congress or Lavaca streets, most shops require patronage.

Is there a spot for the disabled or elderly to sit?

Yes.  There is a roped off section near the front of the stage for those with physical disabilities (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, deaf).  Space is very limited.  Regular seating is not available.

What about the weather?

Rain or shine, we will rally!  If there is severe weather and the March needs to be cancelled for safety reasons, we will post it on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/womensmarchatx/
